The White Light Movement is a Non Profit Charity which is focused on creating socio-economic transformation by training individuals in vulnerable communities.

Spreading the Love in the time of Coronavirus is a project that will be part of making re-usable fabric surgical masks with a disposable inner lining. The mask has double poly-cotton fabric with a disposable inner lining of spunbond fabric. The mask is sustainable and has less impact on the environment with the linings being 100% recyclable.

Each mask is able to be washed and then should be ironed at 100 degrees minimum (the standard of most irons is between 180-220 degrees Celsius)

Each mask will benefit the individuals supported by the White Light Movement NPC. Donations in lieu of masks are all tax deductible and go towards some of the most vulnerable individuals in this time.

Masks are made to order and can be couriered to institutes or individuals at a standard cost or clients can arrange delivery.

All workers wear protective gear, work under controlled conditions and are transported privately to work. Each worker is also paid a full wage to ensure they are economically sustained during this period.

The CDC Now Recommends the Use of Cloth Face Coverings

What’s more, health officials now recommend people cover their mouths and noses with cloth face masks when in public.
This is a voluntary public health measure meant to help stop the spread when people must visit to public spaces such as grocery stores and public transit stations.

CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.
Sewing a cloth face mask for yourself will allow medical grade surgical masks and N95 masks to be reserved health care professionals and patients.
